Debra S. Keehn

Debra Keehn was born and raised in Michigan. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a double major in Psychology and Sociology and earned a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan in 1990. She received her law degree in 2002 from Wayne State University. Ms. Keehn has been practicing law since 2003. Prior to that, she was a social worker, researcher and lecturer at the University of Michigan. Since 2003, Debra Keehn has focused her practice on family law, including divorce, separate maintenance, child custody, support, parenting time and mediation Other areas of practice include juvenile delinquency, abuse and neglect proceedings, guardianships, conservatorships, personal protection orders and simple estate planning. She also teaches Legal Issues and Ethics in Healthcare at Washtenaw Community College. Ms. Keehn combines interdisciplinary skills and insights to bring about the most favorable outcome for her clients. Ms. Keehn practices law in Washtenaw, Wayne, Oakland, Livingston, Jackson, Lenawee and Monroe County Family and Probate Courts. She is often consulted by family law attorneys for her expertise in addressing mental health issues in high conflict family law proceedings. Ms. Keehn is an experienced Guardian Ad Litem and Parenting Coordinator and is trained in both domestic and civil mediation. Debra Keehn will help you understand your rights and remedies.
